Hi JOnathan! Thanks so very much for all you do for the right whales! I am down in St. Augustine where we haven't seen very many this year and I'm wondering why? I did manage to watch the entangled whale and the FWC plane right off my house - so happy for the whale being freed! And a quick 'blow' a few days later but not anything more. I AM worried about them so any news you have would be welcome. I so enjoy reading your blogs! Best and again, thank you! Marcella
The New England Aquarium is part of a massive collaborative effort to protect critically endangered North Atlantic right whales from ship strikes, gear entanglements and other threats. All work conducted and images collected in US waters are under scientific permit from NMFS. All right whale research conducted in Canadian waters are under scientific permit from Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
